This year, the team is doing something honorable. For only $3, you can get a really cool wristband, and for $10, you could get a super-cool t-shirt; all in aid to the team’s mission against breast cancer. All of the money goes to the fight and you get to walk away feeling good about yourself. It’s like that feeling when you help a turtle cross the road, or when you lend your neighbor a hand with mowing his lawn. That really nice, warm, fuzzy feeling you get, you can get for only $3 or $10.
Besides the warm fuzzies and thoughts of turtles, the team is serious when it comes to this fight. On Oct. 25 this year, the team will be doing a breast cancer walk in Pennsauken, NJ. The team did it last year and raised right about $1,600 to go toward the fight. So far this year, the number of people is at about 40, said Vice President Matt Liss, but this event can use everyone it can get. Cancer is something that a lot of people can relate to in a conversation. For all the people who are battling breast cancer as well as all other kinds, the rest of us are here, and we can do something. This team has raised about $900 this year so far, just imagine how many people could benefit from that.
Think about it, you could help a lot of people, get those warm-fuzzier, and get a workout in too! Plus, you’ll be repping with the sweet wristbands and t-shirts. If you’re interested, you can find more on the team’s Facebook page.
You can message the team there or you can email them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
